Terms of Service
Last updated June 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Harbourpoint Community (“the portal,” “we,” or “us”), a private, invite-only website for residents of the Harbourpoint building in Toronto, Ontario. By requesting access to or using the portal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the portal.
Who can use the portal
The portal is for residents of the Harbourpoint building who are adults (the age of majority in their province). Access is requested by you and manually approved by the building admin. We may decline, suspend, or revoke access at any time. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
What the portal is — and isn't
The portal is a noticeboard that connects neighbours. It lets residents post and browse parking spots, lockers, marketplace items, and contractor recommendations, and arrange things directly with one another.
We are not a party to any arrangement you make. We do not process payments, hold funds, take a commission, or charge platform fees. Any payment happens offline and directly between residents. We do not deliver, inspect, insure, or guarantee any item, rental, or service listed on the portal.
Your content and conduct
When you post or message on the portal, you agree that you will:
- Provide accurate, lawful information and only list things you are entitled to offer;
- Comply with your lease, the building’s rules, and all applicable laws;
- Treat other residents respectfully and not harass, threaten, or defraud anyone;
- Not post anything illegal, misleading, infringing, or that isn’t yours to share, and not impersonate anyone.
You keep ownership of the content you post, but you grant us permission to display and store it as needed to operate the portal. You are solely responsible for your content and your dealings with other residents. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Contractor listings are not endorsements
Contractor entries are shared by residents based on their own experience. A “highlighted” label (or similar wording) means the building admin flagged the entry — it is not a background check, licensing verification, insurance check, or endorsement by us. Always do your own due diligence before hiring anyone.
Disclaimer
The portal only connects residents. Any payments happen offline, directly between neighbours. We are not responsible for disputes, damage, loss, or the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any item, rental, or service arranged through the portal. Please confirm that any arrangement complies with building rules.
The portal is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and the portal’s operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of the portal or your dealings with other residents. The portal is a free community service.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the portal and delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if you are no longer a resident, or if needed to protect the community or comply with the law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the portal after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
